Why your wines are different from other wineries in your area ?
Les Riceys is a famous terroir in Champagne:
The bigbest vine growing place of all the Champagne area with 866 hectares of grappes.
The only terroir where you can find 3 appellation of wines:
Champagne
Coteaux champenois
Rose des riceys
We are in the terroir of les Riceys, an historical place for the Pinot Noir with a good maturity and flavor of red fruit. Chardonnay give some very fine wine too.
Soil is lime stone and clay.
Our pholisophie about winemaking is to harvest with the best maturity as possible and to keep the natural flavors of the wine, that’s mean we only made what the wine needs. Nothing more, keeping the traditionnal process with the modern equipement.
Now we adapt some cuvee to the new tendance with special low dosage.
Do you produce grapes in a organic or environmental friendly method, or with general methods ?
We don’t have Any label about organic certification. But we use some organic process. For exemple since Many years we start to stop the chimical way to eliminate the grass into the vineyard. we use environmental friendly method. We only add what the vine needs. All the dosage and quantity are calculated as minimum as the vine needs
Are your wines already distributed in Asia, and if not what are the countries you are looking for new distributors ? Actually we are not exporting to any distributor in Asia. But we are in contact with Japan and Korea market.
We are looking for all the opportunity to develop our distribution.
Is there anything you want to add about your wines, story or any news ? We are one of the first winery in Champagne who tried a special process of ageing of wine into amphora. Our cuvee Champagne amphoressence zero dosage.
