Fine Wine from Chianti Rùfina

The Bellini Family winery is located in the center of the village of Rùfina in a 1940’s building, built on the core of an old farmhouse which still retains some structures. Chianti Rùfina comes from Poderi Il Pozzo which are located in the heart of Chianti Rùfina in a hilly landscape where fruit trees and olive trees alternate with the vineyards.

The Bellini family belongs to an older generation of landowners from Rùfina. The winery was founded in the second half of the nineteenth century by the great-grandparents of the current owners, who began to trade the wines of their Rùfina farms, together with other agricultural products and the characteristic Tuscan sausages.

In the 1950s, Carlo Bellini gave a significant boost to the winery, starting his participation in specialized fairs and establishing, through a chain of representatives and importers, a commercial network that brought Bellini wines all over the world.

Today the winery takes advantage of the contribution of the new generation, in the people of the grandson Maurizio Masi and the daughters Alessandra and Maria Letizia who have expanded and modernized the winery by directing their attention towards new markets such as the Far East and enhancing those already acquired as the European and the American.

Cantine Fratelli Bellini has received a grant from the “POR FESR Bando Internazionalizzazione” to promote its wines on the international market and especially in Japan, one of the most important of their cellar. The project has been completed with the promotion and enhancement of all our wines, above all Chianti Rufina, in the most important and appropriate venues. The disclosure and explanation of the products through direct contact with consumers has been very important since it has been possible to explain all the peculiarities of a very small and still not very well-known wine region. The disclosure was possible thanks to the creation of leaflets as well as the renewal of this website.

Cantine Fratelli Bellini has received a grant from the Call “Aid for energy effcient projects of buildings – Decree no. 7012 of 22 May 2017 “to guarantee an improvement in terms of energy consumption for the summer and winter air-conditioning of its bottling plant. The works were completed with the achievement of the objectives set by the project.

And very recently, Cantine Fratelli Bellini srl have been recognized and awarded by Asia Import News.
