Are you looking for a great wine-maker in Italy?
Never miss Società Agricola CANNETA S.r.l.!
WHO ARE THEY?
I MORI was founded in the early 1970s when the Giannelli family decided to redevelop its small farm. The company is located on the hills surrounding the Chianti region of Florence. The main crops planted in the area are vines and olive trees. Today, the company includes various farms and has expanded its territory to 160 hectares, which includes 50 vineyards and 15 olive groves.
In 1997, the Giannelli family purchased a new company in Montalcino, Podere CANNETA , which produces Brunello di Montalcino, Sant’Antimo and Rosso di Montalcino wines. Canneta is 1000 metres from Montalcino Fortress: it consists of 10 hectares of vineyards and 2 hectares of olive trees, and 30 hectares of thick wood.
In 2003, Canneta also expanded its agricultural industry in Maremma: this area is naturally destined to grow grapes. In Cinigiano, 37 hectares of land were purchased: 3,5 hectares of land were grown for the production of D.O.C. Montecucco and Maremma. This is the birth of “La Pietrosola” wine.
How the Giannelli family pursues great Tuscan Wines?
In 2015, all wineries were concentrated in Società Agricola Canneta S.r.l. so that they were able to offer a range of Tuscan wines. The Giannelli family still takes care of the production to ensures that the products are authentic and “Tuscanity”, and to ensure that the process repects environment and nature.
