Schieber Winery is a family vineyard with 54 hectares of production area in the Szekszárd Historical Wine Region, which is located in the Baranya Valley and Greek Vineyards with good geographical and pedological characteristics.
Kadarka u. 100, Szekszárd, is the heart of the winery. The Patina Winery has a listed building complex, a cellar, and a press house, as well as a restaurant that offers a unique gastronomic and wine experience.
SCHIEBER WINERY
“It’s a must-see location.” Obviously, there is a winery in Szekszárd, near Kadarka utca 100. Only the building complex of our winery today stands in the former row of cellars, indicating what the residents of the street did a century ago. With a historic, three-branched cellar, the regionally protected press house, erected in the 1800s in the classicist style, greets our visitors.
Vineyard
Everyone at Schieber Winery adores the Baranya Valley: a substantial portion of the plantations, such as cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, and blue franc, are located here, and we have 23 hectares of vineyards in the Baranya Valley, making our winery the largest here. The majority of the capitals are 15-25 years old, but our new Kékfrankos, Dornfelder, and Syrah plantations will give fruit shortly.

Schieber Syrah Rosé 2020

Provence-style, brilliantly pink rosé wine, dressed in a wonderful, elegant look, made every year from the special syrah grape variety. The scent is concentrated with the charm of fresh red-fleshed fruits, especially currants and oriental spices. When tasted, the juiciness of ripe strawberries and raspberries flows from it, which we have incorporated into a polished acid structure, characterized by a long aftertaste, a round, thick, mouth-filling aroma. With a fine texture but more chiseled ingredients in the sip.

A special drink of the desired secrets, the top wine of our winery, prepared with special care, which comes up with a miracle. This blue franc is itself the dreaded treasure of the 50-year-old capital of TABU, Baranyavölgy vineyard. Its color is ruby red, the aroma is the diversity of an oriental spice bazaar, the taste is cherry, cherry fruitiness and the harmony of peppery and cumin seeds. A generously special and harmoniously complex wine with beautifully rounded tannins and a long finish, it embodies sophisticated elegance. After his debut in 2019, he won the title of the best red wine of the Szekszárd Wine Region Wine Competition, and then won a gold medal in every other wine competition.

Question 1: Do you already export to Asia ? If yes, where ? If no, what type of importers & distributors are you looking for in Asia ?
Answer : We do have a small amount of export to China mainly. But it is not just a small portion. We would be happy to find importers or distributors for our high end red wines!
Question 2: What is the most unique and qualitative part of your products, different from competitors ?
Answer : The local varieties which we use in our wines are makes all the difference. Hungary has some amazing varieties which can put your wines to an other level!
Question 3: When did you start to export your brand worldwide, and what is your development plan for the next years ?
Answer : We believe that after the pandemic we all need to rethink our strategies to export and so we do. Now we are starting a strong approach to export markets and we would be happy to find a couple of strong importers in Asia with whom we can work together for a long time!
