The Quiot family, winemakers since 1748, offer a large range of wines from the Rhône Valley and the Provence area.
The story begins in the Vaucluse, at Chateauneuf-du-Pape where Antoine Quiot acquired a few hectares of vines in 1748. Today, the Domaine du Vieux Lazaret comprises more than 100 hectares with some of the land located in the Côtes du Ventoux region. The 13th generation of the family currently work the estate.
Next, close to Aix en Provence at the foot of Mont Sainte Victoire, the Domaine Houchart came into the family in 1890. It was added to with the Domaine de Verlaque in 2002. Today, Florence and Jean-Baptiste are the fifth generation to work the estate.
Back to Chateauneuf-du-Pape where the Domaine Duclaux was established in the 1750s and has been worked by the Quiot family since 1987. The Duclaux family’s final descendant, Emmeline, passed away in 2001 and left the estate to Florence and Jean-Baptiste.
In 2000, the Quiot family diversified into wine selection, complimenting the range of wines from their own estates.
Finally, after looking to expand into the Rhône area for a long time, the Quiot family bought the Château du Trignon in 2006 and in 2008 enlarged it with 10 hectares of Vacqueyras grapes and 2 hectares of Beaumes de Venise grapes.

Interview of Ms. Florence QUIOT
Question 1: Do you already export to Asia ? If yes, where ? If no, what type of importers & distributors are you looking for in Asia ?
We already export for year in Asia but we want to increase our distribution in the area. This means looking for new importers, all around Asia. Since we own several Estates and Chateaux we can adapt to various importers. What we are looking for is importers sensible to our familial estate and familial products.
Question 2: What is the most unique and qualitative part of your products, different from competitors ?
We are a familial wine-grower and wine maker company, for 1748. With my brother we are the 13th generation taking care of the vineyard. Many French companies argue they are familial but they are owned by financial groups… we are not. We own our estate (nearly 300 ha of vineyards) and we make our own wines and sell them ourselves around the word (currently in more than 30 countries). We are specialized in Southern Rhône Valley and Provence. We produce for example Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône and Provence Rosé (and of course many other appellation). 95% of our production is exported, mainly in Northern America and Europe. In all our bottles, we want to share our love for our job and terroirs…
Question 3: When did you start to export your brand worldwide, and what is your development plan for the next years ?
Our parents began to export during the 80’s. This is 95% of our business now. In spite we export in Asia and Eastern Europe for years, we want to increase our sales in these both areas. More & more wine lovers and connoisseurs are in these countries.
