“Peri Bigogno the excellence of sparkling wine.“
It was in 1980 when the charming project involved and excited Peri’s family: to produce a sparkling wine with refermentation in the bottle, according to what could then still be called “Method Champenoise”. Thus, for over thirty years, the picking of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes for the creation of the base wine for Vintage sparkling wines opens the intense and exciting period of harvest. Since 2010 the Peri Bigogno winery entered with enthusiasm in the Talento Italian Institute, which is an association that brings together some of the most important houses of the Italian wine scene.
The vineyards play an essential part in the landscape of Lago di Garda (Lake Garda), which is one of the most appreciated touristic areas between Venice and Milan. It is always ready to welcome the visitor at any time who desires to discover the beauty of both the countryside and the ancient villages following the tracks among the hills.
The Casale Gabaddeo line expresses the desire of the Peri Bigogno winery to exploit the terroir of the hill of Castenedolo and its winemaking vocation and tradition.
There are four products of international and autochthonous vines vinified in purity and unique blend.
However, there is only one blend that is called The Gobbo, in which represents the bond with the history of the winery, that already in 1972, while taking the cue from the customs of the Bordeaux area to skilfully assemble Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, it sought to adapt the peculiarities of the territory adding to the blend one part of Marzemino.
This 2019, Peri Bigogno has joined Asia Import News Wine and Spirits Challenge 2019 and won 2 gold’s and a silver for their respective wines. Here are the wines that won the competition.
