EU Business Avenues recently reports that Organic Food & Beverage is a growing sector driven by increase awareness and concerns about agro-chemicals in food products in Singapore. On top of that, rising consumer awareness of the health benefits of organic food, increase consumer affluence and concern about food security have also contributed to increase demand for organic products.
In Singapore, the organic food and beverage market is forecasted to reach USD 234.8 million by 2021. Singapore imports more than 90% of its food consumptions.
The 15th business mission under the EU Business Avenues in South East Asia programme, Organic Food & Beverage, will take selected European companies to Singapore and Thailand from 1 to 7 September 2019.
The first part of the business mission week will see the European companies travelling to Singapore for a day of exhibition and business meetings. The companies will then travel to to Bangkok to participate in Food & Hotel Thailand 2019.
Products on showcase such as olive oil, honey, processed fruits and vegetables, cereals and dairy, coffee and tea, wine and beer, snacks and chocolates are EU organic certified. Look out for the Euro Leaf logo for assurance.
