Since 1966, the Frassinelli family has been dedicated to making beautiful sparkling wines. Located in the prestigious Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG, in the steep hillside vineyards north of the Piave River and south of the Alps, this boutique Prosecco producer quietly crafts lovely wines with unmistakable personality.
Brother Gianluca and sister Roberta continue the tradition of their parents producing tiny batches of wines from some of the most prized vineyard sites within the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG. Depending on the wine, production varies from around 1,000 cases to as little as 200 cases per wine. Artisanal indeed.
The vineyards in this area are some of the most picturesque in Italy. They cling to steep hillsides with tiny villages dotting the landscape. The climate here is generally mild and the soils clay and limestone. The Frassinelli family makes a variety of wines, including special “Rive” wines; single vineyard, single vintage wines of distinction.
This quintessential family estate is committed to its land and to making the best Prosecco it can. As they note, “Our responsibility is to respect the territory. Our passion is to understand it.” What a pleasure it is to have them in the portfolio.
