Could you please tell us the story of your winery, when it was created and how it developed decades after decades ?
I founded the winery in 2003 by having spent my life before in Wine as well – the addresses before were Domaine Wachau and Robert Mondavi.
What sort of wines are you producing ?
We do focus on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling – these are the main varieties of our area. We added with vintage 2015 our first Pinot Noir – it’s the red wine grape which suites best for our soil and climate (and because we like it).
How important are your export distribution compared to national distribution ?
We do export about 65 % of our production.
What sort of distributors are your customers ?
Our clients are always high class specialised distributors who focus on top gastronomic and/or private customers.
Why your wines are different from other wineries in your area ?
If very short time we managed to find our very distinctive and elegant style.
Do you produce grapes in a organic or environmental friendly method, or with general methods ?
We work organic but we are not certified – so we say we work sustainable.
Are your wines already distributed in Asia, and if not what are the countries you are looking for new distributors ?
Our wines are in Japan – no other market yet. We are interested to work with every specialised wholsaler to whom very individual, terroir driven wines are important.
Is there anything who want to add about your wines, story or any news ?
As a very young winery we were asked to be member of the « Österreichische Traditionsweingüter » some years ago – so we join this very prestigious group of wineries since last year.
