Could you please tell us the story of your winery, when it was created and how it developed decades after decades ?
Chateau Le Raz is a 65 ha Domain just East of Bordeaux producing red, rose and white wines in the Montravel appellation. The Barde family, owner and winemaker, has been making wines since 1610 and the Chateau dates back from the 17th Century. The Cellar is modern and built partly below ground, gravity is used during the wine making process to bring elegance. Special Cuvees of red wines are aged up to 18 months in French oak barrels and many older vintages are available. Traditional grape varieties are blended, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec for the reds, Sauvignon, Semillon and Muscadelle for the whites.
What sort of wines are you producing ?
We’re produce different red wines, rose wines, white dry and sweet wine.

50% export distribution

Why your wines are different from other wineries in your area ?
The harvest is put into the press by gravity movement. The vinification in a cellar on two floors where work by gravity makes it possible to work out elegant wines and of a large smoothness are a assurance in the quality of our various vintages.
Do you produce grapes in a organic or environmental friendly method, or with general methods ?
Environmental friendly method.
Are your wines already distributed in Asia, and if not what are the countries you are looking for new distributors ?
We have some clients in Shanghai.
Is there anything who want to add about your wines, story or any news ?
Every year we have some gold medals in Paris. This year 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal.
